Our body is exposed to chemicals and toxins on daily basis. A toxic body may manifest these symptoms

1. Fatigue and low energy

2. Body odor

3. Trouble losing weight

4. Sleep problems and restlessness

5. Digestive disorders like constipation and diarrhea

6. Unexplained headaches

If you are having these symptoms you need to commit to your health and adopt a healthy lifestyle and eating habits. A lot of cleanses, therapies, and regimens are commercially available nowadays, before you decide to spend a lot of money on magic drinks and detox diets, you must know that there is very less evidence that supports that they eliminate the toxins from your body. Our body has its own detoxifying mechanisms to remove these harmful components by liver and kidneys.

Limit alcohol consumption

One of the functions of liver is to filter toxins from the blood. When our body metabolizes alcohol in liver, enzymes are damaged, and it results in the death of liver cells. Health authorities recommend limiting alcohol intake to one drink per day for women and two for men. Drinking alcohol more than the recommended amount can result in an increased risk of alcohol-induced liver damage.

In the U.S. more than 6% of adults have an alcohol use disorder and about 623,000 underage children have alcohol use disorders

Alcohol abuse can result in fatty liver, inflammation, and cirrhosis in extreme cases. Fatty liver and inflammation are reversible as liver can regenerate cells, but it is not possible unless alcohol consumption is stopped.

These liver conditions result in the loss of the ability of liver to produce bile due to which it stops breaking down toxins and fats.

Get good sleep:

A night of good sleep is very essential to be a functionally healthy human being. A lot of us don’t know the importance of a good night’s sleep. Adequate sleep time is the key to maintaining healthy brain functions.

In 2020, about 57 percent of adults in the United States aged 40 years and older stated that they had difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep.

According to a study when you sleep the neurotoxic wastes are cleaned, and the brain tends to flush out neurotoxic wastes like beta-amyloid by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flux. These metabolic waste products form plaques and disrupt brain functions causing Alzheimer’s disease. Sticking to the standard 8-hour bedtime helps in the reduction of stress and inflammation in your body. Sleep deprivation can result in the accumulation of toxins in the body which results in long-term health consequences including heart disease and obesity.

Reduction of Sugar Intake

Processed foods having high amounts of sugar can lead to weight gain these foods change blood sugar levels and it becomes difficult to detoxify and metabolize them. Excessive sugar can lead to a condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver.

In 2018, almost 25.2 million people were diagnosed with diabetes in the U.S.
